Therapeutic approach
Healing through play, movement, and the joy of the body.
Aerial yoga at EG Holistic Psychology is not just exercise — it is a therapeutic modality that integrates movement, breath, and embodied awareness to support emotional wellbeing and self-connection.
Aerial yoga uses a fabric hammock suspended from the ceiling to support the body in a range of poses, movements, and inversions. At EG, we offer aerial yoga as a therapeutic and wellness practice — a joyful, embodied way to reconnect with yourself.
Movement and play are powerful vehicles for emotional processing and nervous system regulation. Aerial yoga challenges the body gently, encourages trust and presence, and often produces a sense of lightness and joy that is itself therapeutic. Inversions in particular are deeply regulating for the nervous system.
Aerial yoga supports stress reduction, anxiety, body image, self-confidence, and the general sense of being disconnected from the body. It is particularly beneficial as an adjunct to talk therapy, helping to integrate insights through physical experience.
Sessions are offered in a small group or individual format. No prior yoga experience is required. Your facilitator will guide you through the use of the hammock with care and encouragement. Sessions are light-hearted, supportive, and deeply nourishing.
